Question: How much is the entry fee

Answer:
The entry fee is $60-00, This includes your NPWS entry for Fridy afternoon Saturday and Sunday morning

Question: Do pillions have to register for the ride

Answer: A We would like all pillions to register as this is one of the ways that we raise money. A pillion enjoys all the benefits of the Snowy Ride the same as a rider

Question: If I take my bike on a trailer or my wife takes the family do I need to register the car

Answer: Yes, all vehicles parked in the National Park need a sticker or will be charged the full park entry fee which at $16 per day works out to be the same as an entry

Question: Can I still go in the draw for the bike if I don’t get to three checkpoints?

Answer: Yes, we are not allowed to simply give away a prize of this size. We have to raffle it and everyone must be eligible. So when you enter, a separate stub will go into a barrel and this will be used to draw the Honda. However we do have a number of other prizes that you will need to go through three checkpoints for. These prizes will be drawn out of a separate barrel and not effect the bike draw.

Question: How many cards can I take to a checkpoint?

Answer: As many as you like, there is no limit to the number of times you can enter or you can take your friends cards if they’re having coffee.

Question: Where is the best place to stay and is there any entertainment on Saturday night?

Answer: Thredbo. Yes, there will be entertainment

Question: How long is the ride?

Answer: The total distance around the Alpine Way is approx 330Kms, however you can get to three checkpoints by only doing approx 60km. This of course all depends where you are riding from. You can ride any direction or distance you like on the ride - just be in Thredbo by 4.00pm on Saturday afternoon - in time to cool down, go on the Mass Ride and watch the presentation.

Question: What will be in my start pack?

Answer: The least you will get is your checkpoint card, a map showing checkpoint locations and distances, what is available at each checkpoint and any other helpful info that we come up with. One of our main problems is getting Start Packs to people who enter late - sometimes the post doesn't get it to you before you leave. Please do us a favour and enter early. We will put the entry form on the web as soon as we sort out the details and it's a great help if people enter as early as they can.
